A Photographer With a Bird’s-Eye View of the Economy

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I found this interesting article about Corporate-jet photographer Charles Tack and wanted to share it. He makes around $300,000 a year photographing corporate jets for sale. What a great niche to be in! Tack, 57, photographs the jets for brokers, who use his work in sales portfolios and for advertisements in trade journals. You can read the full article and see his work by clicking on the link below:

Check out my newest prop for fairy portraits - we MADE this!

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to show you the newest prop I have for my fairy portrait events - and yes, we actually MADE this ourselves from supplies we found at home depot. It is a foot bridge that a little fairy can sit on.  I’ll be sharing images of the entire set soon.

I’m going to show you exactly how we did it in Fairy Portrait Magic, which is due to release in the next couple of weeks (hopefully sooner).  You can still reserve yours at the pre sale price for a limited time.  Click here to read more.

Here is the bridge (please note that it is sitting on a work table in the garage and will look much better when on the fairy set - I’ll be showing that soon)

Funny Video - Photographer Out-takes

Hi Everyone!  Found these really cute videos from Sam Puc featuring mess-ups and out-takes from some of her sessions.  I’m sure we can all relate!  See both videos below.

October is the time to stock up on fairy portrait costumes

Hi Everyone!  I went over to my Spirit Halloween store (there is more than likely one near you this time of year) and bought some really beautiful fairy wings and angel wings.  These are perfect for my popular fairy portraits.  October is definitely the month to stock up on your fairy costumes and wings.  Check out your Spirit Halloween store, Walmart, Target, etc.  I paid around $20 for each pair of wings that I bought yesterday (I got 3 pairs).  To find your nearest Spirit Halloween store, go to (a word or warning:  I would NOT take young children into the store - it is pretty scary).

Once you have stocked up on fairy supplies, be sure to reserve your copy of Fairy Portrait Magic, which is releasing very soon!  Fairy portraits are fun to shoot and easy to sell.  I’m going to tell you how to create, market and sell these popular portraits and how to maximize your efforts with fun portrait events!  You can still reserve your copy at the pre-sale price for a limited time.  Go to right now to read more and reserve your copy today.  Thanks!

Joe McNally Shows Us How To Hold The Camera For Sharper Images

Want sharper images at lower shutter speeds?  Famous photographer Joe McNally shows us a tip on how to hold your camera to achieve this.  I’m a “right eye” shooter normally, but I’m going to try this technique using my left eye instead and see what happens.  He says that you’ll be able to shoot at shutter speeds (while hand-holding your camera) that you never thought possible.  Give it a try and see what happens!  Check out the video at the end of this post.
