Okay, so this is basically a commercial for Tamron, but there are still some good tips (and cute kiddos). Enjoy the video, and for more photography tips and business ideas, come join in the fun at Shuttermom University. See you there!
This video was produced by dotDV for one of LA’s most popular wedding photographers, Ramiro Gaytan of Gaytan Productions. It was fun to watch, and the final images are gorgeous. Please note that I do not advocate shooting on rail road tracks. Enjoy the video, and I’ll see you over at Shuttermom University for more photography tips and business coaching. Thanks!
I was out shopping yesterday and saw this new book by Tracy Raver and Kelley Ryden. I remembered that a while back I posted her interview on the Today show here on the blog, and I really loved her work. The book is gorgeous and I found it to be very inspirational. Check out the video below, and there is also a direct link to the book on Amazon. Enjoy, and remember to come and join us over at the new, improved Shuttermom University for more photography talk, tips, inspiration and coaching!
Hi There!
Steve Bedell is offering a special discount on his educational DVD - Natural Light Portraiture. Shuttermom readers can purchase this great DVD for just $77 (regular price $99) for a limited time. If you are wanting to learn more about taking great portraits using natural light, this is for you! But don’t delay, because once the link is gone, the discount is over.
Steve Bedell is a master photographer and has won numerous awards for his work. He is also a regular contributor to such publications as Shutterbug.
From Steve’s Page:
:All portraits done on the video not only have a finished image and light diagram on the video, but I’ve included all the lighting diagrams on the bonus CD in both JPEG form and as a PDF you can print out and take with you.
:I’ve also done something a little different this time but something I think you’ll find very informative. I included 13 recent portraits and instead of using diagrams I talk about what I like and how I made each image. There is no formula, just a brief discussion of each image.
:With all this talk about light, I figure we need to know what we’re talking about! So I sat down to just spell out the characteristics of light and ended up with a 1500 word article! I think you’ll find this really does sort of put everything in it’s place so that when we discuss light, we’re all on the same page!
:The ‘Forgotten Generation’ project. This is a CD or DVD by itself. It is also included on my ‘Window Light Mastery’ DVD so if you own that, you know what I’m talking about. I feel it is the most important body of work I’ve ever done and I want you to have it. Think of it as a ‘Bonus Bonus’. Plus many of these images have won awards, one most recently scoring a 98 in PPA Regional print competition. If you don’t have this, this alone is worth the price. There are about 25 images with light diagrams and narration plus information about the project.
Found a good video on natural lighting and wanted to share. Hope you all are having a great day! For more info on natural light portraiture, be sure to visit The Natural Light Project. See you there!
